Montreal’s Beautiful and Diverse Ismaili Faces Through the Lens of Muslim Harji

The quote is from a speech made by Mawlana Hazar Imam, His Highness the Aga Khan, at the opening of the Ismaili Centre in Toronto on September 12, 2014. During the past year, I have seen nothing but smiles from the Montreal Ismaili Jamat which I regard as one of the most diverse and colourful in North America. We have Ismailis from all over the world, and we celebrate numerous functions as a united community working together to make every event a great success.
With these photos of joyful and smiling faces, I celebrate the conclusion of a fantastic 2017 that marked the commencement on July 11, 2017 of the Diamond Jubilee of Mawlana Hazar Imam, which was followed by memorable Didars to Jamats in Uganda, Tanzania, Eastern Canada and Pakistan. We will continue smiling and laughing, carrying the spirit of celebration into 2018 as the Diamond Jubilee continues. The publisher and editor of this blog joins me in wishing all readers and their families a very happy and successful New Year!
