The “Largesse” of the Aga Khan, and Fall Colours and Waxing Moon at Toronto’s Ismaili Headquarters Jamatkhana, the Aga Khan Museum and Aga Khan Park

Nature lures you with beauty, especially at this time of the year when fall colours begin to peak. A few days ago my daughter Nurin and I recommended that you make a day trip to Algonquin Park to see the autumn foliage.

The night sky on September 24, 2020 was clear enough to take photos of the waxing moon above the Aga Khan Park, the Ismaili Centre — specifically the Ismaili Jamatkhana dome — and the Aga Khan Museum. During the daytime on both September 24th and 25th, I spent time to see the yellows and reds at the Aga Khan Park; not that many but impressive enough when set against the ponds of the Aga Khan Park or with the Ismaili Centre and the Aga Khan Museum buildings in the background. Recently we presented posts with photos of the Full Moon and Crescent Moon, as well as magnificent photos of the Aga Khan Museum’s Unique Night Garden Party. You should not miss any of those photo essays! They will captivate and enchant you.

Mawlana Hazar Imam, His Highness the Aga Khan, has gifted these spaces for all citizens of the world — Torontonians, Canadians and visitors from around the world who visit the unique Wynford Drive projects. How are these gifts perceived? We bring you a must watch short interview that the editor did with a non-Ismaili at the Aga Khan Museum and Ismaili Centre’s open-house some years ago. Please watch the interview before you proceed to see the photos of the waxing moon and fall colours!
